The Cuisine at Jumbo Guesthouse

Monica loves good healthy food! She is a passionate foodie and takes great pleasure cooking for her guests. Please let her know in advance if you’d like to eat at Jumbo Guesthouse. Vegetarian, vegan, lactose or gluten free dietary preferences can be accommodated at prior notice. Food is not included in the room prices – please inquire about prices in advance.

Monicas breakfast is memorable: Beside of good coffee and tea you start with a huge bowl of fresh fruit, scrambled or soft boiled eggs and end with warm baguette with homemade jams made of tropical fruits from Laos. The breakfast is not included – price: 6 USD per person.

Every Wednesday night, you are welcome to join the legendary “La Mama Dinner”, where Monica hosts interesting people from all over the world – locals, expats and other guests – for a delicious dinner (price: around 10 USD/person).

By the way, Monica is well known as the jam producer in Luang Prabang with her brand “Tamasat” (which means “from the nature / traditional / organic”).
